Why Rob Gronkowski is currently the second-half MVP of the league, and possibly the most important, non-QB piece of any contending team.

- No current players have a better TD relationship than Tom brady and Rob Gronkowski. Yes, that includes Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. TB12 and Gronk are only 12 touchdowns behind Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison for the NFL record.
- Gronk is very sure handed. He may have the best hands on the team.
- Gronk is generally more open than his teammates.
- Gronk pulls pressure off of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown.
- Gronk is one of the toughest guys to bring down, and a broad target.
- Gronk is a QB’s redzone target wet dream.
Rob Gronkowski is seemingly unshaken by everything. This could be experience, or his relationship with Tom Brady, or both. Those no doubt help but he sure wears the big, dumb jock thing very well, even if some part of it is an act. He just shows up, and when healthy, balls out. With Antonio Brown’s status in question – a capable, additional receiving option is important. Gronkowski is the single most important piece to this team, and the catalyst for their mission to repeat as Super Bowl Champions.
